Joseph has been in the funeral service profession all his life, serving the communities
of Worcester and Webster. He has an inherent desire to assist both the Orthodox
Church and his community; he considers this his call.
Originally from Southbridge, Massachusetts, Joseph is a descendant of Stavros
Stefanos, one of the founders of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, also in
Southbridge. He currently resides in Dudley and is an active leader within the Saints
Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in nearby Webster, where he serves as
the head cantor and parish council president. He was the former choir director of the
church and has served as chairman of the Greek Festival.
These numerous responsibilities within the church indicate Joseph’s devotion to his
calling. His tireless contributions reveal his selfless, sincere dedication to his
community and his Orthodox Christian faith.
Joseph previously sat on the board of directors of Legendary Legacies of Worcester,
where he was the fundraising committee chair. This transformative non-profit
organization offers training and support to formerly gang-involved and incarcerated
men. Helping those in his community who might otherwise remain forgotten further
solidifies Joseph’s constant commitment to serve.
