Dr. Maria Voyiatzis, Chair

Dr. Voyiatzis holds a B.A. in English, a B.A. in Philosophy, an M.A. in English, an M.A. in
Education, and a Ph.D. in Law and Policy with a focus on Education Law.

She spent twelve years teaching in K–12 classrooms before moving on to higher education,
where she oversaw faculty and doctoral candidate research in education at Northeastern
University.

Her expertise in education law, combined with her deep experience as both a teacher and a
parent, fuels her commitment to creating meaningful, high-quality learning opportunities for
children. Dr. Voyiatzis’ passion for St. Kosmas Academy comes from her belief that
education should nurture the whole child, while also empowering families to be active
partners in shaping their children’s academic journey.
